We are flying abroad in a couple of months. The passport expiration date must be at least 6 months beyond that date and why we had to renew our passports. The wait time right now is 7-10 weeks for the routine wait, and 3-5 for expedite. We selected the expedite(extra $60). We got the passports in about 3 weeks for the next 10 years. Winter is a good time for passport renewals.
